JOINT SPOUSE CONFERENCE (JSC) HOSTESS VOLUNTEERS

Do you like to meet new people and share the Aloha spirit?  As a JSC Hostess you have the opportunity to be a vital part of the Conference and contribute to its success.

We would like to invite you to enhance your experience at this year’s Joint Spouse Conference by volunteering to be a Hostess.

As a Hostess your enthusiasm and professionalism set the tone for the conference.  You will serve as an ambassador between the JSC Committee and other military spouses just like yourself.  While the role and responsibilities of the Hostess are not difficult, the Hostess nevertheless is very important to the success of the conference.

HOSTESS’S ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES

The Hostess will:

·         Introduce the person presenting the workshop and read their biography to the workshop participants before the workshop begins

·         Distribute and collect class evaluations

·         Take a headcount of those in the workshop

·         Remain in the workshop for its duration and participate like everyone else

When you check in at the Hostess Table on the morning of the conference, you will receive a packet containing:

·         Your specific workshop assignment information

·         Biography of the workshop speaker

·         Information on how to get to the workshop classroom

·         Housekeeping information for the location of the workshop (bathrooms, water fountain, etc.)

The Hospitality Committee members will be at the Hostess Table and will be able to answer any questions you might have.  In the meantime, if you would like to ask a question of the Committee regarding being a Hostess, please send an email to:  joint.spouse.volunteers@gmail.com
