What is the purpose of this conference?
Our 12th annual conference was hosted by the US Marine Corps on 20 & 21 October 2006 at beautiful Marine Corps Base Hawaii - Kaneohe Bay, as a forum to enrich, empower, uplift, enlighten, motivate, educate, and strengthen military spouses in their roles as wives, husbands, parents, professionals and community leaders.  During the 2-day conference, each attendee  selected five 1-hour workshops out of over 50 available workshops on such topics as Hawaiian culture and history, health and wellness, communication and parenting skills, and entertaining tips.  These workshops were presented by military spouses and local community experts.  Included in the conference were 2 keynote presentations, each 1-hour in length.   Attendees also benefited from a multitude of printed materials provided by agencies on resources available in both the military and civilian communities, to include topics such as health care, family support, recreation activities, and volunteer opportunities.  Attendees were given the opportunity to network  and have fellowship with spouses of all ranks and all services during the breakfast and luncheon periods.  The conference offered a unique opportunity to bring together over 300 military spouses.  Whether you have been on the island for a while now, or are new to Hawaii, there is much to learn at the Joint Spouses' Conference.

How long has this conference been going on?
This is the thirteenth year of the Joint Spouses' Conference (Formerly called the Joint Women's Conference).

What is "Armed for Entertaining?"
Armed for Entertaining is a creative guide. The Joint Spouses' Conference is pleased to offer a complete collection of tried and true entertaining secrets and recipes from all of our military services. With over 360 pages, this book is a "must have," with something for everyone from the inexperienced to the "old pro."

Be sure to pick up your copy at the conference or, order your copies today!

Last year I could only attend on Friday, but the class I really wanted to take was only offered on Saturday.  Why don't you offer popular classes on both days?
